Spirit Stations

Spirit stations are strategic locations throughout the race course to provide a memorable boost of encouragement to runners along the way. We are looking to fill more stations to create a fun and exciting run for all of our participants!​

Pickles, bacon, and gummy bears...oh my!

This year, you’ll see the gummy bear forest, the bacon station, the pickle pit, and donut point to name a few. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Runners will remember the truly unique themes along the course. Consider your resources. What can your neighbors or co-workers bring to your area that can add to your theme?

What it takes

Staffing a spirit station is all about bringing energy and enthusiasm to the event! Ideally, each station should have 5-10 spirited individuals who can keep the excitement going throughout the entire event. Time commitments vary depending on the location of the Spirit Station. If it’s more convenient, you can organize shifts to make the time commitment more manageable.

Please note: Student Groups must have at least one adult chaperone present at all times.

Here are some theme ideas to get you started:

Beach Party: Bring out the beach balls, leis, and tropical music to create a sunny, beachy vibe.

Superheroes: Dress up as your favorite superheroes and cheer on the runners with superhuman enthusiasm.

Business Bonaza: Dress in your company swag and cheer on the runners while promoting your business. 

If you don't have a theme idea today, that is okay, you don't have to share in advance.
